Hey guys, so the first version of this had some mad distortion on the "voices" part, so I've re-issued the episode with it fixed. You can see bottom of notes for clarification of muddled voices from previous version if you've already listened and don't want to go back through the fixed version. If you haven't listened yet don't look at the notes, you should be able to understand it all. Thanks!
Hello again Nightmare Society and welcome to another episode of true horror stories.
To the reviewer SheDrivesZ - I hope you’re listening b/c this announcement is for you
I have a couple of notes I’d like you all to be aware of if you don’t mind - it’s been quite a while since I’ve gone to look at reviews on Apple Podcasts so I’ll be doing some shoutouts for those and since it would be a bit of a long list I’m going to split it up, so if you don’t hear yours called, it’ll likely come next week.
I had a bit of an editing error in the week before last’s episode with the volume so I apologize for that, I had to rush that episode out and clearly I missed something.
Upon looking through my Apple reviews, SheDrivesZ had left a low review and checked back later to see if things were fixed and they hadn’t been, I still had not seen the review yet, HOWEVER, this episode I’m going to up the GENERAL volume so hopefully that helps you being able to hear. I keep the volume levels bouncing in the yellow so they won’t clip, that is standard practices and I’ve yet to have anyone else complain about not being able to hear BUT I wanted to try this out.
This should not effect the voice to music balance issue in the previous episode as it will be overall volume and music and voice should still be balanced.
But in case some of you others were having trouble with not being able to play it loud enough, I’m going to try this. If for some reason there’s audio issues you notice in this episode, feel free to shoot me an email to nightmaresocietyradio@gmail.com or message us over on IG.
It’s been a while since I’ve done this so I wanted to shout out people who’ve gone over to Apple Podcasts and left us a stellar reviews

Voice notes:
"Pete, what? My phone wants a surname."He wouldn't tell me. Just kept saying "Just call me Pete."
"I thought your name was Pete?"He said "Oh, no! My friend's name is John."I said "You just said your friend called you, John. And you told me your friend was called Tom" He said "Oh, well. Some people call me, John. It's like a nickname. But his name is John too."
"Hi, I know we haven't spoken in a while, but I just thought you should know that over New Year I was diagnosed with an illness and I've been told I don't have long left to live. You were a good friend in the short time we knew each other. I live at (sent me his address) and would really appreciate it if you could come around just so I can have a last chat with you. I've got some beers in and if it gets too late you can stay the night. Just drop me a phone call when you want to come around so that I can get everything ready for you. See you soon"
Guy on the train tracks:
this point where he opens his mouth and says clear as day: "I know you're not on the phone"
